The American West's Big Five: buffalo, bear, elk, moose, and antelope. Foster Boyd wants them all. Trouble is, he's a greenhorn and doesn't know it.

Since his wife's death, the wealthy widower's family has been coming apart. He brought his four children west hoping a grand adventure will bring them back together, and he has hired Alvah Nye to lead the way.

Alvah has guided plenty of tenderfeet. He's never guided a family like the Boyds. One son has a chip on his shoulder the size of Independence Rock. The other chokes when the chips are down. And Evvie, the eldest daughter, has no intention of acting like an heiress. She has a sketchbook, a fast horse, and a steamboat load of confidence... until she's stranded on a high ledge as the trail crumbles behind her.

A grizzly crashes from the timber. A mountain lion waits on a rock in the dark. Foul weather rolls in at the worst possible moment, with hailstones and tornadoes. Every disaster the Boyds face is another crack in already think ice.

Alvah has never been one to ride around trouble. But some trouble won't budge.

Alvah's Creed is Book Four in The Frontier Adventures of Alvah Nye. It is a clean, fast-moving western packed with action, danger, surprises, and a touch of romance on the wild frontier.
